The AFEB (Asociación de Fabricantes Españoles de Bricolaje y Ferretería - Association of Spanish Manufacturers of Do-It-Yourself work) was established at the end of 2004, with the intentions to know and foster the DIY market, and to develop close working relationship with all the distributors. The association has already more than 40 member companies.

The AFEB mission is: 1) to analyze, structure and spread the information of the DIY market and contribute to it development; 2) to defend the interests of its member companies, within a frame of collaboration with the rest of participants of the market. Its vision is to develop the future of the DIY, collaborating with all the participants, which is based on the ethics, the honesty and the professionalism.
The general services of the AFEB are:
- To collaborate with the ADFB (Association of Distributors)
- To intermediate with the Public Administration.
- To participate in Fairs, Forums and Congress.
- To promote and represent manufacturers in the outside.
- To grow and canalize the sector communication.
- To bring and receive market information, and collaborate with the fediyma statistics.
The specific services that AFEB renders to theirs associates are:
- Market valuation, conjuncture and evolution.
- Statistics elaboration (market, manufacturer’s and distributor’s sales, etc.).
- Consumer studies
- Dilatoriness prevention.
- Technical Area: norm and monitoring.
- Commercial and legal Consultant's office.
