Record year for Hagebau

For the recently completed financial year Hagebau has notched up records both in the number of affiliated businesses and in sales figures. The German voluntary group consisting of specialist dealers in building materials, timber and tiling, as well as DIY retailers, in Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland, has increased its centrally cleared transactions by 18.2 per cent. An 18.9 per cent increase of purchasing turnover to € 4.9 bn is reported for Hagebau Germany, a figure which also includes revenues from Luxembourg and Switzerland. This positive trend is being attributed above all to the specialist trade.

On 31 December 2011 the group had a total of 301 partners (previous year: 296) with 1 420 (1 333) operating units, 1 157 of them in Germany, 153 in Austria, 95 in Switzerland and 15 in Luxembourg.
