About fediyma

The European Federation of DIY Manufacturers (fediyma) was created in March 2000. Its founding members are BHETA in the UK, Germany ’s Herstellerverband Haus & Garten and Unibal of France. FEBIN in Belgium and the Spanish AFEB have also joined the association.

Why fediyma?

With the DIY – including the gardening sector – business becoming increasingly global, it is important that European manufacturers and suppliers have access to the strength and support of a European federation.

Given the formation of NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) and the close co-operation that exists between the ASEAN countries, the Single European Market is assuming an ever more prominent position in global trade. The euro reinforced the status of Europe as a trading block.

The formation of a European Federation of Manufacturers reflects the growing international status of this region and provides its member companies with the competitive advantage that comes from being part of both a national association and a European federation.
